Viewfinder: Artists Exhibit Work On Groton Bank

More Than 200 Visit Show On Saturday

Organizers of the fifth annual Art on Groton Bank outdoor art show handed out 200 programs during the first three hours of the event Saturday. Twenty-one artists exhibited their work under tents set up outside Bill Memorial Library. They also made a few sales.

"People are so creative, and I'm not. So I'm impressed," said Mary Ellen Gordon, of Glastonbury, who bought a vase at the show.

Christopher Rose directed the art show, which started years ago with artists painting on the grounds between Bill Memorial Library and Fort Griswold, then displaying their work on the fence for people to see.
