Viewfinder: Groton’s Footlight Parade

Kids recently enjoyed an afternoon of filmmaking with Kid Filmmakers, a year-round traveling academy for children ages 10-15. This is the third year the camp has been hosted by the .

Student are given hands-on training in acting, animation, costuming, editing, film scoring, makeup, screenwriting, special effects, and videography. By the end of this five-day program, students will have produced a commercial, documentary, silent film, and their choice of drama, comedy, or musical. 

Participants will be given a DVD of their work upon completion of the program. This work will also be made available on Kid Filmmaker’s youtube channel.
