Watch Children Ring In New Year In Groton (VIDEO)

50 Celebrate At Groton Public Library

Children celebrated the New Year at Groton Public Library Friday by making hats, noisemakers and crackers full of candy, and watching balloons drop from the ceiling at noon.

Karen Podurgiel, of Mystic, said she brings her children to library arts and craft programs as often as she can.

“It’s a lot of fun," she said. "They’re so creative with what they do.”
