11th Annual Sunflowers for Wishes to take place at Buttonwood Farms, Griswold, CT July 19th – July 27th

The 11th Annual Sunflowers for Wishes to benefit Make-A-Wish® Connecticut will take place July 19th through July 27th at Buttonwood Farm in Griswold, Connecticut.

This marks the 11th Anniversary of what has become a statewide and New England summer event that cannot be missed. Crowds from all over the state of Connecticut travel to Buttonwood Farms, as well as visitors from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and beyond to be surrounded by the beauty of  thousands of sunflowers while supporting Make-A-Wish Connecticut, whose mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Over 450,000 sunflowers are expected to bloom on the fifteen acres of farm land and will be sold in bouquets for $5.00 each with one hundred percent of the proceeds going directly to Make-A-Wish Connecticut.

Sunflower t-shirts and note cards will also be sold to support the Foundation, Buttonwood Farm hayrides will also be back by popular demand for all to enjoy, and of course the famous Sunflower-flavored ice cream!

Sunflowers for Wishes has raised almost $800,000 for Make-A-Wish Connecticut in the past 10 years, with last year alone raising an astonishing $90,000 – enough to grant the wishes of 9 Connecticut wish kids just when they need it most.

"We are proud and honored to have Duane and the entire Button family as part of the Make-A-Wish family here in Connecticut," says Michael Dominick, Community Relations Manager for Make-A-Wish Connecticut. "Thanks to people like the Buttons, countless wishes have been granted for 10 incredible years, and many more will continue to be granted in the future."
