On behalf of Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Vocational Technical High School in Groton, CT, we would like to inform you of a technology fair to be hosted by the school on Tuesday May 22nd from 12:00-1:30PM. Students who participate in this competition will construct a device or process which takes advantage of recycled materials or pertains to “green” technology. It is the goal of the organizers that through this competition, students will gain experience in thinking creatively while taking into account the marketability of their proposed invention. They will also be encouraged to work with students in other trades to incorporate their expertise into various aspects of the project.
In order to make this fair a success, we would like your support to cover the costs of the event and to provide prizes for the top student projects. Documentation will be provided so that your gift will be tax deductible. We are also looking for members of the local industrial community to serve as judges, to come to the fair to meet the students and give feedback on their projects, and present any technologies relating to our theme for the educational benefit of the students and community. If you are interested in serving Grasso Tech financially, as a judge or guest presenter, or if you would like more information, please contact Jason White at jason.white@uconn.edu or Larry Fritch at Larry.Fritch@ct.gov.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Jason White
