Mystic Seaport is Holding Auditions for Sights & Frights and Lantern Light Tours

Auditions will be held September 4th, 10th, and 12th from 5pm to 9pm. Each audition will last approximately fifteen minutes. You may also be asked to perform some guided improvisation. Please bring a theatre resume and headshot. Sights and Frights is Mystic Seaport’s annual Halloween-themed event. This year’s production, The Curse of the Demeter, includes three spine chilling scenes inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula. We are seeking performers for scripted performances, improvisational performances, solo-performer story-telling, and a Haunted Schooner. Performers must be at least 10 years old. Some paid positions are available. Rehearsals: 10/1, 10/3, 10/8, 10/10, and 10/16 Performances: 10/18, 10/19, 10/25, 10/26 Lantern Light Tours is Mystic Seaport’s annual Christmas-themed event, set in the year 1876. Each Tour guides the audience through five unique scenes in exhibits around the Museum grounds. Each scene runs for 7-12 minutes and helps to progress the overall story. We are seeking performers for scripted scenes and for semi-improvisational tour guiding. Performers must be at least 10 years old. Some paid positions are available.
