Bring Your Pets Along To Fundraiser At Harkness

Thursday's Pet Portrait Day will support the purchase of a diabetic alert dog for 7-year-old Pawcatuck boy

 

Pack up your pets and make sure they're ready to smile!

Photographers will be on hand to capture your pet's best angles on Thursday, April 12 at from noon to 6 p.m.

The Pet Portrait Day is a fundraiser to support the purchase of a diabetic alert dog for 7-year-old Christian Hudson of Pawcatuck. The dogs are trained to detect changes in blood sugar level and alert the diabetic person.

According to the Groton Animal Foundation's Facebook, those interested in setting up an appointment can email Christian's mother at heather@heatherhudsonphotography.com.

Donations collected from Thursday's event will go toward Christian's Guardian Angel Service Dogs account.

According to the event posting on Facebook, the photos will be mailed out on on CD.

The event's rain date is set for Friday, April 13.
