With her red hair, the always put together Tricia Cunningham is easy to spot in Mystic. And while that this past March, Cunningham hasn’t lost any of her energy. As President of the it often seems like she is everywhere. Stonington-Mystic Patch users nominated her as an , and it’s easy to see why.

Were you surprised people nominated you for our 40 under 40? You seemed surprised. I was surprised and touched by the community recognition. Who nominated me, am I allowed to know?

It seems like you’re everywhere. Tell me about some of the other activities you’re involved in: I’m on the Greater Mystic Visitors Bureau Board of Directors and a few years ago I helped start . I’m very proud of Mystic Community Bikes and the people involved in it even though I’m not a bicyclist. It’s been a great concept to bring to Mystic.

Where do you live now and where are you originally from? I live in North Stonington, but I grew up in southeastern Connecticut went to high school in East Lyme.

How did you end up in Mystic at the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce? After college I came back to the area, my family is here and I found a job at the chamber. I fell in love with the community and people. It’s been a decade now.

What are some of the things you love about Mystic? It’s the people and the business community. Everyone is so caring and compassionate it keeps things connected.

What’s one of your favorite Mystic events? I love them all, but the is such a special night. It’s great family event and brings everyone together.
