Fundraiser in Groton To Benefit Animal Adoption Groups

Animal Welfare League of New London County also collecting supplies for relief organizations

The Animal Welfare League of New London County is holding a resale fundraiser next week to benefit the New London Animal Control and other animal adoption organizations in the region.

The fundraiser will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 20 and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 21 at the Boilermakers Lodge 614 at 33 Sacred Heart Drive in Groton. The organization is raising money to spay and neuter bully breeds in New London. Donations are being accepted, and people may call 860-445-0280 to arrange a dropoff.

The Animal Welfare League recently donated new cat cages to New London Animal Control. They are also collecting pet food until Halloween at Sally's Beauty Supply in Groton. These donations will go toward pets in need served by Groton Social Services as well as Care and Share in East Lyme.
