Groton, Would You Help Do a Good Deed?

The Parks and Recreation Department is joining the National 26 Acts of Kindness Movement, and hopes to have 2,600 people sign up.

A simple good deed goes a long way.

That’s the premise behind an effort by the Groton Parks and Recreation Department, which hopes to make the community a better place and to honor the victims of the Newtown school shootings by joining the national 26 Acts of Kindness movement.

The department is asking residents to go to DISCOVERonline and browse activities for the keyword 26 to sign up. Residents who do this promise to perform 26 big or small acts of kindness by Memorial Day Weekend.
