Readers' Choice: Groton's Best Preschool Poll

Patch users weighed in with all kinds of great recommendations this week on the best preschools in town. Now it's time to vote!

Even years after their children have moved on, the love for many of Groton's preschools runs deep, as evidenced by the comments made in our Readers' Choice article earlier this week .

wrote: "Many happy times and smiles from three of our children enjoying their fun days at Happy Time Nursery School in Mystic...Absolutely wonderful program and the sweetest, kind teachers a parent could ask for :) :) :)"

And from : "Definately Mrs. Chmielewski`s preschool class at Mary Morrisson Elementary:-) Mrs.C and her team are one of a kind:-) They are truly AMAZING! My daughter still talks about them and she's in 5th grade. Great team:-)"

Of all the preschools in town, the poll below reflects those nominated by Patch users in the comments section of the article that was posted Monday. They are:

You can vote in the poll until 9 a.m., Friday and the winner will be announced Saturday. But based on all the comments made about these schools, they are all winners for the town's kids and their parents.

Both my children went to Pendleton Child Care and had a great experience. The teachers are nurturing and patient and were both very prepared for kindergaten. Would recommend it highly!

I was pleased to recognize a picture taken at the Children's Nook Daycare in Groton. I taught the 4-year-old class there from 1984 to 1988. It was a wonderful place for kids back then.

As a recently retired Librarian who has had Outreach classes at all these locations, I would say they all are fantastic places to send your children. On a personal note, my grandson attended Mrs. Roberts' class at Mary Morrison Elementary School and we so appreciated all her efforts with his progress during his year there. Kudos to all!
