Register for Groton Elementary/Middle School (GEMS) Cross Country Meet
The run is for students grades 3-8.
It's time to lace up those sneakers for the annual Groton Elementary/Middle School cross-country meet! This year's race will be held rain or shine on Sunday, October 13 at 2:00 PM at Washington Park in Groton.
GEMS is a competitive fun run for all New London County students in grades 3-8. Runners compete at a distance of 0.8 miles for elementary schoolers and 1.5 miles for middle schoolers. Registration is FREE and the top 3 finishers in each grade will receive a medal.
Register children early to ensure a spot and be sure to indicate shirt size - child or adult S, M, L, XL. T-shirts are only guaranteed to participants who register by September 27th.

Volunteers are also needed to serve as time keepers, scorers, and spotters on race day. Please call (860) 536-5691 to volunteer your time.
