Crowds lining up to watch the Mystic Memorial Day Parade Monday waved flags and cheered loudly in honor of the many marchers in uniform. The parade opened with VFW and military members followed by marching bands, firetrucks, Shriners and many other participants. Dodging predictions of rain, the parade started at and ended at the VFW Hugo A. Simonelli Post where members served hot dogs and beverages to marchers, kids and spectators.
