Celebrate the Arts with Groton Student Musicians, Artists

And featuring special guest performances!

With four shows, there’s little reason to miss a celebration of the arts with Groton Public School student musicians and artists. Plus, some special musical guests!

Slated to be held at Northeast Academy, 115 Oslo St., Mystic, the performance features Cutler Middle School Jazz Band; Cutler Singers;  Fitch High School Chamber Choir, Drum Line, Jazz Band, & Orchestra; Joshua Thomas on saxophone and piano; Mary Morrisson Strings; Northeast Academy Musicians; Pleasant Valley Chorus; SB Butler 3rd Grade Chimes, and the String Quartet, and Flute Quartet.

Special guest performers include the Coast Guard Woodwind & Brass Quintets; the Eastern CT String Ensemble & Youth Orchestra and the Al McLaughlin Swing Band.

But it’s even more than music. 

There will be displays of student artwork from Connecticut College; Fitch High School; Mary Morrisson Elementary; Northeast Academy; S.B. Butler Elementary and Uncas Elementary in Norwich.

Grab your calendar!  On Friday Jan. 17 there are three performances; 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday Jan. 18 performance time is 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
