Deadly Sibling Rivalry, 8 p.m., Lifetime

MasterChef, 9 p.m., Fox

My parents introduced me to this show when I visited them recently, and it’s pretty entertaining. The thing that struck me the most is that Gordon Ramsay of screamy profanity fame is actually kind of nice in this. He still yells at people, but shows genuine compassion when having to let contestants go. The top four contenders in this season go head to head tonight.

Weeds, 10 p.m., Showtime

Tonight it seems Nancy is taking part in an SEC investigation, Shane is interning with the NYPD, and Michelle Trachtenberg may be an enforcer in a rival drug organization. Ever since this show left the cloistered California community it was originally set in, the narrative has been as untethered and rudderless as an out-of-control zeppelin. Which isn’t to say that it’s not still an enjoyable show. After all, have you ever seen an out-of-control zeppelin? It’s hilarious.
