Come, Let Us Sound with Melody

The Greater Middletown Chorale will appear in concert on Sunday, May 20 at 4 p.m. in our Sanctuary. The program of American spirituals and sacred music will include Morten Lauridsen’s contemporary masterpiece Lux Aeterna. Our own Allyn Donath will perform a selection of solo harp music as part of the program.

This large auditioned chorus brings together musicians from throughout central Connecticut. Artistic Director Joseph D’Eugenio has led the Chorale for 14 seasons. The group presents classical and contemporary masterworks, and is becoming known for commissioning new works to add to the choral repertoire. It is currently preparing “Letter from Italy, 1944: War’s End,” a semi-staged choral work that tells the story of a World War II veteran’s war and its aftermath.

Senior and student ticket discounts available.
