The Library is hosting a Local History Fair on Saturday, September 17, from 12 p.m.—3 p.m. Speak with representatives from local organizations and discover what they have to offer….or just reminisce about the “good old days.” Many groups will be selling books and memorabilia. There will be a drawing of door prizes for those who attend.
Groups scheduled to attend include: Groton Historical Society, Mystic River Historical Society, Noank Historical Society, Groton Bank Historical Association, Indian & Colonial Research Center, Friends of Fort Griswold, DAR--Anna Warner Bailey Chapter, Avery Association and New London County Historical Society. In addition, Joe Lantiere, a professional magician, will be at the History Fair performing magic for the audience dressed as the character, Joseph Potter, a colonial American magician.
