All ages are invited to help prepare for International Day of Peace. Beginning Saturday, September 17 through Wednesday, September 21 drop by the Library’s teenscape during regular hours and create an expression of peace through origami, pinwheels, collage, and even painting on the teenscape windows.
The International Day of Peace or World Peace Day, declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981, is a day devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples. International Peace Day is Wednesday, September 21.
