The Summer Reading Sale at The Charity Bookshop will run from July 21 through August 4. Books written by such popular authors as Tom Clancy, Mary Higgins Clark, Patricia Cornwell, John Grisham, James Patterson, Nora Roberts and Danielle Steele, among others, will be on sale at one-half our normally low prices through August 4. All of our gardening books and our travel paperbacks will also be offered for sale at half-price.

The Charity Bookshop is open on Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM and on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Our shop offers readers unbeatable prices on new and used books that normally range from $0.50 for regular paperbacks to $2.00 for hardcover books. A few coffee table books are marked at $5.00. We have a large selection of children’s books that sell for one-half the prices that we charge for adult books.

The Charity Bookshop is a non-profit bookstore that benefits The Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT. The shop is staffed entirely by volunteers, who are members of the Groton Auxiliary of the Child and Family Agency. We welcome donations of clean, gently used books.

Our bookstore is located in Trails Corner at 591 Poquonnock Road, Groton, 06340. You can reach us by telephone at: (860) 449-8217 ext. 1128 and by email at bookshop@cfapress.org.
