GROTON - The “Concerts in the Park 2012” series continues this Friday (August 17) in Washington Park in the City of Groton with the “Brass Kickin’ Rock N’ Soul” sounds of the band 9Teen.

The band 9Teen has performed all over New England, playing everything from classic rock to funk to R&B to Steely Dan to Chicago to Earth, Wind and Fire, and Stevie Wonder.

Concerts are free and start at 6:30 p.m. The concert series is co-sponsored and co-produced by Groton Utilities and the City of Groton Parks and Recreation Department.

The performers and dates for the remaining summer concerts are Rewind, August 24, and The Cartells, September 2, rescheduled due to bad weather last Friday night.
