2. MYSTIC BALLET PRESENTS DYNAMIC DIRECTIONS
WHERE/WHEN: Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum Auditorium.
WHY GO: Hey guys, did Valentine’s Day not work out so well? Maybe an afternoon at the ballet might help? Just an idea…
PRICING: Tickets start at $15.
3. NEW LONDON WINTER FILM FESTIVAL
WHERE/WHEN: The Garde Arts Center in New London is showing 10 Oscar-nominated films over the next couple of weeks at 7:30 p.m. as part of their festival.
WHY GO: These films make for a great night out—especially if you take advantage of the film pass!
PRICING: Tickets are $8 general admission or a film pass can be purchased for $30 valid for all festival films.

WHERE/WHEN: Sunday at Ocean Beach Park in New London from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHY GO: You’ll get to see super-brave souls plunge into the Sound. And you’ll support the Special Olympics.
PRICING: Each participant must raise at least $50, so do your part and help them out!
5. WINTER BIRDING TRIP ALONG THE THAMES RIVER
WHERE/WHEN: Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Meet at Fort Trumbull in New London.
WHY GO: It’s finally getting a little nicer outside, so why not explore a bit of nature? It’s a great way to work off some of that Valentine’s Day chocolate, too!
PRICING: Members pay $10; nonmembers pay $12.
