The Band 9Teen Closes Out Concerts in the Park 2013

This is the last of the Groton's free concerts in Washington Park.

“Concerts in the Park 2013” concludes this Labor Day weekend SundayThis  in Washington Park in the City of Groton with the “Brass Kickin’ Rock N’ Soul” sounds of the band 9Teen.

The band 9Teen has performed all over New England, playing everything from classic rock to funk to R&B to Steely Dan to Chicago to Earth, Wind and Fire, and Stevie Wonder. Concerts are free and start at 6:30 p.m.

The concert series is co-sponsored and co-produced by Groton Utilities and the City of Groton Parks and Recreation Department. Alpha Audio Works of Mystic provides sound production for all concerts.

Food is available on site. The Groton Little League sells food and drink as a fund raiser. The concerts are designed to be especially appealing to families for a fun, inexpensive night out. Spectators are encouraged to bring their families and perhaps a picnic supper, since all the concerts are held during the early evening hours. There is space to dance on an adjoining basketball court.
