The Campbell Soup Company and National Association of Letter Carriers' "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive will be held on Saturday, May 12.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the largest single-day food drive in the nation, and according to the news release, the effort collected 70.2 million pounds of food last year.
Citing the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the release says that nearly 49 million Americans dealt with food insecurity in 2011.
So grab a sturdy bag, fill it up and be sure to have it out by your normal mail pick-up time on Saturday.
