The donut chain Tim Horton's closed down suddenly in November 2010, surprising its customers and employees alike. The company shuttered all its Connecticut and Rhode Island shops, which had opened in 2004.

A couple of the stores have since , but this one at the intersection of routes 117 and 184 remains vacant.

It is listed for sale or lease by Judy Walsh, Pequot Commercial, 1020 Hartford Turnpike, Waterford. Sale price is $650,000.
