Five Guys Burgers And Fries To Open June 13 In Groton
Store Finished Hiring Staff Thursday
Renovation work on the Five Guys Burgers And Fries at 143 Gold Star Highway is almost done, and the restaurant is scheduled to open June 13.
"It's coming along," franchise owner Kevin Glazier said Friday. "We're just putting the finishing touches on."
The company bought the property for $700,000 in April and gutted the inside of the building. Inside work is mostly finished; landscapers were busy on Friday.

The company hired the last of 45 staff on Thursday, Glazier said. Close to 100 people applied for the jobs. Staff start training next week, he said.
Five Guys also has locations in Mystic and East Lyme.
