Where to Go if You Don't Want a Gym Membership or Classes?

If money's tight or a gym isn't your preference, you don't have to let that get in the way of staying in shape.

Just put on some running shoes (and probably your Under Armour, a hat, gloves and warm layers in this weather) and go for a run in your neighborhood or on your favorite route in town.

How about work out at home and save the very expensive fees that these gyms charge.

Granby's Senior Center is the best kept secret in the area for exercise classes -- they have VERY challenging classes for all ages and abilities. And the price can't be beat. Check out Granby's website at www.granby-ct.gov or call 860-844-5350 for details.

Suffield Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of Fitness classes for both residents and non-residents including: Biggest Loser, Sunday Funday, Power Yoga, Men's Basketball, Stretch and Flex, Circuit Training, Jump and Jab, Winter Walkers-FREE!!!, Power Intervals and Kripalu Yoga.
