Groton Pharmacist Honored by Town Council, GASP Coalition

First-ever 'Good Neighbor Award' bestowed upon Jeff Messina

The Groton Town Council and the Groton Adolescent Substance Abuse Prevention (GASP) Coalition presented Fort Hill Pharmacy owner Jeff Messina with the first ever Good Neighbor Award Tuesday.

The Good Neighbor Award was created to recognize a leader in the Groton community whose actions promote improved health.

“We are proud to present the Good Neighbor Award to Mr. Messina for choosing to keep his store tobacco-free and for all of the work he has done in our community to help people quit smoking,” GASP Coalition Coordinator Michelle Hamilton said.  “We thank him for his dedication to making Groton a healthier place.”
