Pfizer Begins Dismantling Groton Headquarters

Workers have been tearing down interiors from portions of the Building 118 complex this week.

Workers have been clearing out walls, ceiling tiles and more from a property on the corporation's complex, known as Building 118.

The demolition process will extend into 2014, according to The Day article.

Pfizer's move out of Groton is expected to create a loss of more than $2 million in tax revenue.  Many of the business' local properties were put on the market in 2011 and 2012.
