Who Makes Groton Beautiful?

If you know of a business or commercial property owner in Groton who really made their business space beautiful, the city of Groton wants to know all about it.

A new recognition award for Groton business owners will be presented at City Day on August 1, as part of the City’s celebration of the City’s 50th year as a city, and the 30th anniversary of City Day.

An announcement by Groton Mayor Marian Galbraith was made on the City of Groton Government Facebook page.

"The city recognizes the important role business owners have played in the development of our city from its inception to the present day," she said. "Today they still play an important part in the quality of life we enjoy in the city. This year, the city has undertaken a major initiative to show that the city of Groton is a great place to live, work, and play. We want to recognize those business owners who contribute to that effort."

The award is open to business and commercial property owners located within Groton who have made physical improvements to their properties which contribute to the beautification of the city.

In order to nominate a business for consideration, contact mayor@cityofgroton-ct.gov with the name and address of the business. Entries must be submitted by July 20.
