Preka Named Volunteer of the Year by the Eastern CT Chamber of Commerce

The Eastern CT Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Meeting on February 26, 2014 at the Norwich Inn & Spa.  Business leaders came together to hear the past years accomplishments and the upcoming goals for the current year.

At the end of the event, the Eastern CT Chamber presented three awards to two businesses and one individual.  David Preka, owner of Advanced Improvements, was the recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award.

Over the past year David has worked closely with the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern CT on their Mud Run held at Fields of Fire in Mystic.  He and his team also completed a window replacement project at the Riverfront Children’s Center with additional help from the Dominion Foundation.  All while this was going on, David was also named the Chairperson for the Mystic March of Dimes walk held annually at the Olde Mistick Village where he has brought business leaders together to raise money for a great cause.
