Builders Association and Chamber Join Forces to Present Premier Home Show

Organizers promise a dynamic and interesting home show focused on improving the region’s economy, a must-attend event

Two regional organizations, the Builders and Remodelers Association of Eastern Connecticut (BAEC) and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut, are teaming up to present what each group says will be the most dynamic home and remodeling expo in the region for residences and small businesses.

Eastern Connecticut’s Premiere Home Show will be hosted by the Mystic Marriott just off I-95 in Groton on April 19 - April 21 2013. The show location will offer ample parking and ease of access a short distance off Exit 88 in Groton and a spacious exhibition space both within the hotel’s exhibition hall and in a giant tent in the adjacent outside area.

“Our motto is BUY LOCAL,” says Chamber leader, Tony Sheridan.  "What can be more local than your home builder or remodeler and other professionals you bring into your own home? These folks build the communities in which they live and work.” And the best part is that this show will help improve our region’s economy.

The show will feature industry professionals, from those who build and remodel to those who offer a range of services needed by residential customers and small businesses.  Bring your plans and dreams to consult with builders and remodelers, landscapers, banks, real estate firms, and companies that provide decks and patios, spas, hot tubs and an array of energy efficient products and renovation materials for the home and business.

“Home building technology and processes, energy code and building code requirements are changing rapidly and our trained professionals are keeping up with the curve.  Your home is probably the biggest investment you will make in your lifetime.  Be informed in your decision-making processes.  Here you will be able to view products and services that will increase energy efficiency and enhance your family’s lifestyle,” said BAEC’s executive officer, Renee Main.

They issued the following statement:

“We’re going to produce a truly home-grown show that focuses on the very best builders and remodeling specialists with a track record of superior service, along with the latest products in a wide range of categories to give consumers an exciting look at ways they can improve their homes and add to their quality of living in the process.”

“We will offer dozens and dozens of exhibits that will give consumers a chance to view the latest in products and provide professional craftsmen as well as exhibits from top-notch companies that sell the best of home improvement products and related services. This new program will also complement the Chambers “Buy Local” efforts.
