If you don't mind your marketing, will it matter?

Marketing matters and here is why......

Your busy day to day running your business.  Your being pulled in twenty different directions, your the boss, the HR person, The accountant, the brains, the soul and the wisdom behind your small business. So who has time for marketing?  And does marketing really matter?  You hand out your business cards, you spent thousands on your sign, you have a website, you're on Face book.  So what else is there to do?

More and more I see businesses trying to market on their own.  Whether it is to save money because they think marketing is too expensive, don't feel it's necessary (they still have clients coming in the door) or just clearly don't think about it, marketing matters.  Unfortunately most business owners don't think about marketing until they have to market their "going out of business sale".

So will it matter if you don't market your business, your services or your products?  Maybe not today, maybe not even tomorrow but someday and most definitely.  Competition is on every corner and they very well may be marketing to your next new client right at this very moment?  They hired a marketing firm with creative marketing strategies, they hired a company (not their best friend's roommate) to create and optimize their website and they are doing one marketing campaign after another.

So go ahead and be the great boss, inventor, widget maker, service provider that you are but hire a professional to market it all for you because marketing matters.

Until next time..........
