2. It’s Election Day – make sure you get out there and vote! Schools are closed due to a professional development day for teachers.
3. West Side Middle School will hold a Veterans Day Celebration on Friday at the school, with breakfast at 8:45 a.m. and a ceremony from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. All interested veterans are invited to attend, and can contact the school using the invitation attached to this announcement on Patch. The RSVP date has been moved to Nov. 7 due to the storm.
4. Riverfront Children's Center has started accepting orders for its Annual Holiday Wreath Fundraiser. Wreaths are $14 each or two for $25, and brought from Maine to the children’s center and decorated with red bows. All proceeds benefit Riverfront’s tuition scholarship program for at-risk children. 5. The Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern CT is still accepting children into its after-school program at Claude Chester Elementary, and serves students through fifth grade.
