Five Things To Know Thursday, Feb. 16.

1.  Today is Thursday, Feb. 16.  The National Weather Service predicts cloudy skies, a high temperature of 44 degrees and rain later today. The low will fall to 38 degrees tonight. The chance of rain is 30 percent this afternoon, 80 percent tonight.

I implore the state to consider this site as a possible new school for Grasso Tech. The campus atmosphere would be a huge draw, possibly bringing in paying out of state students. A stronger school to work night school program to train young adults in the trades could be established, possibly for increased revenues. The pool could be rented out as it has in the past. The location is ideal for students to access. The current Grasso school site is much more marketable for a business, possibly to Electric Boat. The state has done a transformation with the Norwich Tech location. It's time to invest in this part of Southeastern CT.
