2. The Groton Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. today in the Town Hall Annex with local legislators including Sen. Andrew Maynard, whose district includes Groton, to discuss the governor's proposed budget and its impact on the town.
3. Councilors will also discuss a plea from Montville to support a bill that takes issue with how the state chose the location of a proposed sex offender treatment facility. The state wants to put such a facility in Montville, the town is trying to get surrounding communities to help stop it.
