Clear Skies, Respite Center Serves Hot Meals, Tells Us Which Restaurants Have Power
1. Today is Tuesday, Aug. 30. The weather is forecast to be sunny with a high temperature of 78 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low temperature around 59 degrees.
2. The is continuing it's regularly scheduled programming throughout the day and then it turns into a respite center at 3 p.m to 9 p.m. The Red Cross comes in and serves hot dinner for free beginning at 5 p.m. and offers snacks, cold water and showers and TV for those without power.
3. CL&P is reporting 93% of its Groton customers are without power.

4. Groton Utilities promised 100% restoration of power to its customers by 12 a.m. Tuesday.
5. With power out and warm temperatures ahead, people's food supplies might be getting low. Submit the names of restaurants you know are open, and we can have a list together by dinner time.
