The Town Council and the Groton Board of Education are planning a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. on Monday for those lost in the "unthinkable tragedy" in Newtown. The vigil will be held at the Fitch High School football field.
"Please bring a candle to light," Groton Mayor Heather Bond Somers said in a statement. "This is an opportunity for the community to come together and show our support for the Town of Newtown and express that our hearts weep with them."
