Snow Predicted for Tuesday

It probably won't amount to much, but southeastern Connecticut will most likely see some of the white stuff in the morning.

The National Weather Service is predicting that southeastern Connecticut will see its second snowfall of the season tomorrow morning.

The service is predicting rain and snow for Tuesday morning before the precipitation turns to rain. No significant accumulation is expected.

There's a 30% chance of snow for Tuesday night, but again, it won't amount to much.

Here's the full forecast for Groton the next couple of days:

This Afternoon: Mostly sunny, with a high near 47. West wind 8 to 13 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Light northwest wind.

Tuesday: Snow before noon, then rain. High near 37. Calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tuesday Night: A chance of snow, mainly before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. North wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph.
