Then And Now: Transformations Of Historic Groton

The book "Images of America, Groton" by Carol Kimball, Jim Streeter and Marilyn Comrie, is filled with historic images of Mystic and Groton, many of which are currently in the collection of Groton Mayor and Town Historian Jim Streeter. 

Historic buildings, churches and homes are steeped in history, with many stories still to be to be told. But there is also information in the photographs themselves.  Seeing the changes by comparing old photos to new serves as a reminder that progress continues, but history is always an integral part of our daily lives in Groton.
