Thousands lined the streets for Groton’s Annual 4th of July Parade Wednesday, one of the town’s biggest community events.
Eighty-five groups marched, including the Second Continental Light Dragoons, fife and drum corps, military units, antique autos, the newly-crowned Miss Connecticut and six fire departments.
The parade began at 10 a.m. at Poquonnock Plains Park, and traveled west down Route 1 to the Groton Shopping Plaza.
Did you go? What did you like best?
