VIDEO: Should MLB Players Union Agree To A Ban On Smokeless Tobacco?

Senators Call For An End Of Common Practice

Four Democratic senators including Connecticut's Richard Blumenthal have asked the MLB player's union to agree to a ban on smokeless chewing tobacco. A letter signed by all four senators was sent to the players association and asked for a, "ban the use of all tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco, on the field, in the dugout, and in the locker rooms at MLB venues."

The request came at the start of the World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers.
