Dr. Bernard Murstein, former Connecticut College professor and internationally known psychologist-historian, will present a talk about his new memoir, When Seltzer Was Two Cents a Glass: A History of America and Me, 1929-1955. The memoir takes the reader back to the Great Depression, a Bronx utopia and how World War II affected life in America.  The second volume of his autobiography, Memoirs of a Professional Malcontent: 1956-2012, is scheduled to come out in 2014.



Dr. Murstein has written 10 books and his articles have appeared in over 150 publications. He has lectured in the United States, Canada, England, France, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Belgium, Greece, Spain, and Morocco. Audiences will find Murstein to be an engaging raconteur and stand-up comedian as well as a scholar.
