Author Eileen Albrizio to Speak at SECAPA Meeting February 18th

The Southeast Chapter of the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association will present author and creative writing instructor Eileen Albrizio at its next open meeting, Monday, February 18th at the Groton Inn & Suites, 6:30 PM.

Ms. Albrizio is a writer of poetry and prose as well as a freelance proofreader and editor. She is the author of three volumes of poetry and has also penned several plays, three novels, numerous short stories and essays.  She has taught poetry and creative writing in several colleges and cultural institutions as well as the York Correctional Institute, Connecticut’s maximum-security prison for women, under the creative writing program made famous by best-selling author Wally Lamb.

At this meeting, Ms. Albrizio will address the topic: “What ‘Show Don't Tell’ Means in Fiction and Creative Nonfiction” and discuss ways in which authors can employ this strategy in everything they write. The presentation will follow a brief business meeting that commences at 6:30 PM and refreshments will be served.  For more information contact SECAPA Chairperson Tom Santos by phone at 860-599-5067 or email him at santostom@comcast.net.
