Take Your Child to the Library Day at MNL

The Mystic & Noank Library Children’s Room joins hundreds of libraries across the country to celebrate the second annual Take Your Child to the Library Day.  On Tuesday, February 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Library will feature games, crafts and films that encourage children to enjoy the Library, sign up for a library card, and join others for a day of fun.

This grass-roots effort was started in 2012 by Waterford, Connecticut Children’s Librarian, Nadine Lipman, and Stratford, Connecticut’s librarian, Caitlin Augusta. After only one year, over 200 libraries in 31 states (to date) are participating.

The Mystic & Noank Library will feature children’s Valentines crafts, chess club at 10 a.m. (all are welcome), and a double feature movie in the Ames Room starting at 1:30 p.m.  All events are free and open to the public.
