Groton Regional Theatre announces Auditions for TRIBUTE, a comedy-drama

TRIBUTE by Bernard Slade is a comedy-drama with
plenty of warmth, wit, and wisdom. It tells the story of Scottie Templeton, a
Broadway press agent and scriptwriter who has always shirked the responsibilities
that come with work, marriage, and family. Divorced from his wife Maggie—who still

adores him—Scottie is leading a happy-go-lucky existence. He’s everybody’s pal
and life is one continuous party. Then he is diagnosed with a serious illness.
His doctor tells him he doesn’t stand much of a chance without treatment, but
Scottie isn’t sure he wants to bother. What he is sure about is that he wants
to rebuild a relationship with his son Jud, a serious-minded young man who
broke off contact with his father years earlier. Through laughter and tears,
father and son slowly work through their problems and create the loving bond
they never had. In his dad's honor, Jud organizes a gala tribute and all ends on a high note!

Seeking four women and three men. Characters include Scottie's ex-wife, doctor (female), his best friend (male). TRIBUTE will be directed by Vic Panciera.

Performances will be March 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28 & 30.
