There are gas insert fireplaces in both the family room (stone) and the living room (brick). Each of the 9 rooms has a water view, especially in the living room with a picture window, the family room with french doors leading to the awning covered flagstone patio and through the arched window in the kitchen. Bay windows in the front of the house let natural light into the living room and the dining room.

The main entrance and the other front entrance into the family room are both covered to make coming in out of the weather easier. A brick sidewalk winds its way across the front of the house from the paved driveway past holly bushes and more landscaping. The architectural shingle roof was replaced in 2011 and has a 50 year warranty.

The heating system is divided into two zones and is supplied by a top of the line Peerless boiler. The partly finished basement is divided in two. There is a TV room and the laundry room doubles as a workshop with a bench and plenty of storage space.
