Riverfront Children's Center Annual Auction Fundraiser
The Riverfront Children's Center will host their 8th Annual
Auction and Raffle on Saturday, October 19th at the Shennecossett Yacht Club in
Groton, CT.
Riverfront wants to see you there! This year in addition to raising funds
for local children in need with our Silent and Live auction, Riverfront will
focus on promoting our area artists and restaurants.
Local artists, both established and emerging, have donated
an array of artwork for you to bid on in the ARTIST SHOWCASE. Browse
their varied styles and mediums to find just the right piece for your home or
business. A partial listing of artists includes Robert Pillsbury, Ralph Acosta,
Del Bouree-Bach, Jamie Pearson, Liz McGee, Norman Smith, Maryann Read, and
Jacob Culler just to name a few.
The SILENT AUCTION will offer Garde Arts Center Create Your
Own Series tickets, a small plane flight lesson, museum memberships, tickets to
attractions, home and garden items, fine & costume jewelry, a golf package,
drive way seal coating and much more.

The LIVE AUCTION features a SIX NIGHT SKI HOLIDAY AT
SMUGGLER'S NOTCH, VERMONT
in your private two-bedroom condominium. Also up for auction is a BLOCK
ISLAND GETAWAY - four days and three nights in a private farmhouse.
Finally, bid on the YANKEES BASEBALL PACKAGE! The package includes two
2014 game tickets along with a tour of Yankee Stadium, passes to the Mohegan
Sun Sports Bar and the Audi Yankees Club, gift bag, and 4 programs!
Riverfront's MEET THE RESTAURANT'S presents specialties from
new and familiar local eateries. Enjoy tastings from over a dozen
participating restaurants. The menu will include seafood bisque, artisan
pizza, pulled pork sliders, stuffed mushrooms, quesadillas, sushi, and more
mouthwatering treats. Try their tastes and then bid on their gift
certificates before going over to the restaurants for dinner!

A basket raffle, wine and champagne bar, live music by Lou
Manzi and 50/50 raffle round out the evening. Come ready to bid on some
