SONGS FOR A SUMMER DAY WITH LISA MARIEN

 The Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton invites kids of all ages and their parents to Songs for a Summer Day with Lisa Marien on Tuesday, July 19 at 1:00 p.m. Join in the fun with songs and instruments celebrating the joys of summer, including songs from Ghana, Zimbabwe and other countries, all part of One World, Many Stories 2011 Summer Reading program. Lisa Marien is an area music teacher who’s been making music with little people for over 25 years. Call the library at 860-445-0392 for more information or stop in for a complete list of the summer’s activities. Library hours are Monday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Bill Memorial Library is located at 240 Monument Street in Groton, near the Groton Monument and Fort Griswold.  The library, now more than 100 years old, has an extensive collection of books and media for adults and children. Visit their web page at http://billmemorial.org
