Mystic Women's Club Donates $2,400 to Help Keep Families Warm

The Mystic Women's Club donates $1,186 each to Groton and Stonington social services and human services, respectively.

The Mystic Woman’s Club recently awarded the proceeds from its annual poinsettia sale to the towns of Groton and Stonington to help keep folks in need warm this winter.

Each community received a $1,186 grant to help fund local heat assistance programs.

The club is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs in Connecticut.  The club meets on the second Thursday of each month, September through May, at 7 p.m., in the undercroft at St. Mark’s Church in Mystic.  Prospective members are encouraged to visit meetings, which are open to the public.
