Shennecossett Golfers Collecting Gifts for Groton Children

Give a gift, get golf. Easy. And make a Groton child's Christmas brighter.

From a Groton Parks and Rec press release:

The holiday spirit is in full swing at Shennecossett Golf Course this year. Golfers are collecting toys for Groton Human Services in a Gifts from Golfers campaign to help make the holidays a little brighter for local children in need.

Anyone who donates an unwrapped toy for children ages 1-12 with a value of at least $10 will receive a $10 voucher for golf fees that can be used at any time. Gifts can be brought in between now and Dec. 15 and placed in box in the Pro Shop. Toys will be distributed at the Groton Human Services Christmas basket program on Dec. 20 to assist the 380 Groton families that are in need.
